what are the hard economic decisions we keep getting told about? thats the langauge of austerity 14 yrs ago. i'm pretty sure the election pitch was a plan to increase growth, which increase money available to spend and improve services. the tough decisions would be allowing development and investment in face of some opposition.

Was he doubling down on struggling OAP's missing out on the WFP?

If FGK is a guest of Arsenal but he also pays for his season tickets what happens to those ST seats, are they empty or is he passing them on?, my money is on him selling them to a tout from Liverpool.

The Labour Party Conference has voted against pretty much the only policy the government have announced so far. This is going well.

I do find it illuminating that you (and from what's been going on on this thread you're far from alone) think that Labour has only announced one policy since becoming the government. It suggests that you're privy to highly dodgy information.

Fair play to the conference voting like that, pity the goons at the helm are too busy with snouts in the trough to take any notice.

A stunning triumph for Starmer, that's one of the best Labour conferences for many a year. Probably i my top 7 of the 21st century.

From Emily Thornberry ripping up the dancefloor, Richard Burgons no show to Sir Keirs ten minute standing ovation.

Also loved the clip from a fringe event, a pub quiz to get to know the MP's and cabinet better, first question....what was Sir Keirs fathers occupation?

:lolol:

I know I posted this before but still seeking an answer. Can anyone explain why it appears (Happy to be corrected) that no main stream newspaper is picking this up

On the most recent episode of The Newsagents podcast (Emily Maitlis, Jon Sopel and Lewis Goodall), they asked Wes Streeting about this donation, but he claimed to be unaware of it, so couldn't comment.

Not Labour Party related but chipping in regarding tax havens. R4 today covered the case of funeral plan companies Safe Hands and One Life. £70m of ordinary/vulneable folks money has disappeared. Safe 'invested' £45.1m in the Cayman Islands, the company also 'lent' its former owner £3.5m. But companies are in administration. Policyholders at best most might see 11p back in the £.

The Cayman Islands are outside UK jurisdiction.

White collar crooks get away with theft again.

I'd love to see wide ranging legislation. Not piecemeal after each scandal.

There is going be a lot more smoke and mirrors coming from this bunch of hypocrites. 33% of the voters must be disgusted with their start in government and in particular with Starmer the con man.
The uni kids are going to learn a tough life lesson after putting their X against his name.🙂😞
