Brighton factually.....
Not the case but welcome back.
I went to the match tonight to support the Albion……

you stayed on here trying to justify Israel.

I’m not left or right, I don’t support Hamas, Hisbollah, Russia, Ukraine or who the feckever.

I’m just against religion, intolerance and injustice.

The state of Israel was forced on these people of this region without consultation

We right royally fecked up, it was not ours to give, or the Jewish population to take, chosen land my arse it’s fiction.

religion is Bollox

I have said Israel's action was a targetted attack on enemy combatants, not an indiscriminate attack on the civilian population. That is not a justification and I did not say I approved of it. I am ambivalent about it. I also watched the match (on TV).
As for religion, I am an atheist.
I most definitely support Ukraine.

but it didn't happen!
Nor has the use of nuclear weapons in modern warfare. That does not stop me criticising the idea and encouraging action to be taken to deter their use. Let’s hope that innocent people do not get hurt or maybe your conscience might have to have a think.

I would condemn it but it's genuinely hard to condemn something that hasn't happened. How do you know they've targetted these btw?

Also, does "Iran backed" make something worse than "it's Israel doing Israel things"?
Here’s one of many available reports about Hezbollah firing rockets into Israel “on an almost daily basis”.

Iran have been doing dangerous Iran things since the ousting of The Shah. As well as funding and commanding the terrorist organisation Hezbollah, they are also said to be allies of the Houthis, another little group fond of rocket fire. They’re also allies of Russia and are said to be supplying them with arms to attack Ukraine with in return with help enriching uranium.

They are every bit as dangerous and ideological as Israel. They just worship their sky fairy differently.

So you’re saying that the cause was dodgy Chinese batteries as a serious theory?

Jesus Christ.

It seems that at least some Hezbollah members believe the explosions are linked to batteries.

Several of them quickly took the batteries out of their radios and tossed them away after one exploded during a funeral in a southern suburb of Beirut, according to the Reuters news agency.

That’s not what you were saying though nor what @Guinness Boy was challenging you on.

You were suggesting several thousand handsets exploded all at the same time because the batteries were from China and negligently faulty and that heads would probably roll as a consequence.

Maybe you didn’t realise how absurd that sounded?

Oh he definitely realises. It's just trolling and not to be taken seriously by anyone.

I see your post has been up for 4 hours, without reply from the Hezbollah apologists. That is to be expected. One-eyed thinking, which is at best, double standards, but at worst, might be concealing something much more insidious.

If it's any consolation, I got the same response (absolute silence) after pointing one of them to indiscriminate Russian bombing of Ukrainian civilians. I've not seen any of them on the Russia-Ukraine thread. Ever.

A word on Iran (who back Hezbollah). They sell Iranian made Shahed drones to Russia, in the full knowledge that Russia will use them to kill Ukrainians. Any Ukrainiains. It just depends where they happen to land. This is a prime example of an indiscriminate attack (this time a real one), as opposed to the precise attack by Israel they forlornly try to present as indiscriminate.

WW1 & WW2 took millions of lives, but we look back at events and say how brilliant a tactic that took many lives was. Send men onto a beach in France knowing a huge death toll would occure.
So in the same way we have to admire the fact that the exploding walkie talkies and pagers were a brilliant tactic that took years to prepare and was execucted to perfection.
That said, any death, be it in war or an accident, is a very sad event and when children are involved it is even worse.

Reversing the polarity of the batteries by applying a signal remotely though might cause a small battery explosion and of course electrolytic capacitors when a voltage is reversed will definitely explode , have accidentally done that myself and had a bit of a fright when re applying the power source after careless repair work
Anyway also interesting to me at least that there were reports of Solar Systems exploding spontaneously , many like our own home set up will be using battery storage
. Ours is linked to the Inverter manufacturer " Solis" and they are able to change every setting in the menu and possibly others that are hidden to the user .
This was explained to me by the installation company and was how I originally changed charge and discharge times by phoning before understanding how I can do myself .
Any system that can be accessed remotely can of course be hacked . Anyone thinking about buying a Chinese EV

Are there Hezbollah apologists? That's sad. Theres lots of Israeli apologists here though as well. Both sides are aggressors so I guess their supporters want to defend them. In Ukraine, only one side is truly an aggressor, and there are basically no Russian apologists on that thread to argue with.

If we're counting -Since October 7th to July 31 there were 8533 rocket/missile attacks across the border of which 82% of which were conducted by Israel. Resulting in 601 Lebanese deaths and 23 Israeli. Source www.acledata.com

Just to stay on topic, your paragraph above could be re-written as:

A word on US (who back the extreme right wing State of Israel). They sell American made arms and armaments to Israel in the full knowledge that Israel will use them to kill Palestinians. Any Palestinians. It just depends where they happen to land.

Nothing Israel does surprises me tbh. But what do we expect from a nation that was created through terror?

This article quotes the Lebanese health ministry saying that the vast majority of deaths on the Lebanese side have been Hezbollah fighters. Also note that the Israeli attack "struck and destroyed thousands of Hezbollah rocket launchers barrels".
BTW your link is incorrect. It is acleddata with 2 "d"s.

I'm not an Israeli apologist. Israel has a right to defend itself, just like Ukraine.

Who are these Israeli apologists you speak of?
