Tete de veau

I imagine @Herr Tubthumper is a fan though having seen some of his dishes on the European tour

I would pay NOT to have to eat it
Not had this specific dish but I have had calf’s head and foot stew in Barcelona. The addition of the feet gives it a really sticky texture. You can get this yourself at Can Vilaro.

There's two things I wouldn't choose in a restaurant and that's raw coconut and tripe. I've eaten them both in dishes and don't mind them, I simply wouldn't choose them. Apart from them, any meat (great fan of Offal), sheep's brains, Steak a Cheval, sweetbreads, oysters, mussels, winkles, whelks, any veg or seafood whatsoever.

I've never tried and don't fancy Casu Martzu, but I'm pretty sure, I've been responsible for the larvae disappearing at the bottom of a bottle of Mezcal.

So, what would you not eat ?
The majority of this..

Hopefully not too fussy, I was brought up on very varied dinners (thanks Mum) which may help. But as a kid I didn’t like cheese or tomatoes, I naturally got over that through my first meals out with mates as late teens, in Italians because they’re in most dishes. I always loved veg.

The very fussy kid thing started by the 70’s. I had mates with working mums who were the first gen of frozen dinners kids eg McCain, burgers. Swerving veg.

Controversial foodstuffs I like …. mushrooms, marzipan, liquorice, aniseed, sprouts, haggis.

The foods I detest or simply cannot swallow:
Goat’s cheese …. I detest the taste.
All strong or runny cheeses. Brie, Camembert, blue cheeses …. yuk.
Gooseberries
Rhubarb
Parsnips
Marmite

- Nothing that flies or wants to fly
- Nothing that swims or wants to swim
- No ugly bottom crawling sea insects
- Dates, olives, raisins and all that kind of shit

The only think I've tried once and was utterly appaled by was Salmiakki, the Finnish salted liquorice. I'm not the greatest fan of the black stuff anyway but that thick layer of salt did nothing for me.

I believe the Swedes eat it too. Do you partake @Han Solo ?

The last, and only, time I had it was over 20 years ago so perhaps enough taste buds have died that it'd now be palatable. I doubt it though

No food I won't eat that I know of. I had snails recently having liked them before and thought "not sure id ever order these again" so put me down for snails.

I AM fussy about bread. Make me a sandwich with sub standard bread? Throw it in the sea.

I tried Hakarl on a recent trip to Reykjavik. Fermented shark - stinks of ammonia and tastes like old trainers. Absolutely foul

Yup, I'm a fan!

Most non-Scandinavians aren't exactly in love with it.
I prefer "normal" liquorice over salmiakki though.

Cucumber. Absolutely vile, pollutes everything it comes into contact with.
Liver / kidney. The texture is disgusting.
Sushi. Just the thought of it makes me GAG

If its in a cake etc i cant taste it. But an egg. Be it boiled , poached , fried . No thank you and haven't for at least 45 years.

The smell of hard boiled eggs makes me reach !
I'm not a big fan either. Only eat it if it is some cheap hotel breakfast with no good protein source.
Hate when other people eat it around me...
