Sunny and warm here in Brum. Was working in garden yesterday and when sun came out it was very warm but when it pissed down it dropped to 12 degrees.

It been cold enough overnight for our central heating to fire briefly two mornings on the trot now, and the solar panels have barely fed anything back to the grid in several days.

Just come home from the med where it was 46deg C every day average and last night put the winter quilt back on

Just a word of warning, a health alert has been issued from 5pm tomorrow for extremely hot weather with temperatures potentially hitting 30c.
Please make sure you drink plenty of fluids, check on elderly and vulnerable family and neighbours and keep out of the sun all day if possible but particularly between 12 and 5.

We had friends staying from up north last weekend. Our summer's been up and down, but what they were saying made it feel like we've had a Mediterranean summer in comparison - plenty of sunshine at least if not cracking the flags too often

Been very warm in Birmingham today hitting 24 degrees this pm and no rain like down there in Sussex. Going to change next week though with highs of around 14 and lows down to 5 or 6 overnight.
Been very chilly in Wiltshireshire too.
No heating on yet, but the electric blanket is on before bedtime.

Nowhere near, it’s still 27 degrees here in Vancouver.

I’m fine with it cooling personally. I’m fortunate that I can afford heating in my home, and I like chunky knitwear.
But the main reason is I want it to be either sunny and warm, or cloudy and cool.
I’m no fancy big city meteorologist, but so much of our spring and summer is that awful humid cloudy and muggy (but not sunny) crap. I end up longing for rain or a thunderstorm to relieve the pressure.
So crisp and cool suits me just fine from here until spring.
But the main reason is I want it to be either sunny and warm, or cloudy and cool.
