Among the Swedes it must be Björn Borg, Peter Forsberg, Mats Sundin and Ronnie Peterson (at least my grandpa used to say that I've met Ronnie, I don't remember it ...) . Terry Venables while at QPR and ...hrmf ... Roy Hodgson while on tour with Malmö FF (as a side note, that was probably the best squad ever seen in Swedish football IMHO) in Oz in 1989. We stalked them in Melbourne and then Sydney...

Have spent time with Richard Branson over the years. Also once played charades with Ruby Wax in a hot tub!

Prince Phillip in a hide at Lee Valley, found a Bittern for him in the 'scope.

Most memorable.....going 10 pin bowling with all of The Kinks after a Top of the Pops recording in Manchester back in 1965. I was working, voluntary, at a Cheshire Home in Littleborough as part of police cadet training at the time.

probably Alan Mullery. He goes to the church where my brother-in-law is a curate.

My father in law is a lifelong spurs fan so often collars him, but get's a bit put out because when Alan says "we" he's referring to the Albion rather than Tottenham

Despite only having been to Sweden about six times, I think I can probably challenge you on this.

I worked on the Swedish production of 'Superstars' in 1996, and spent two weeks filming, eating, socialising with, amongst others - Thomas Brolin, Martin Dahlin, Anders Limpar and INGEMAR STENMARK. (Not that the famously quiet / reclusive Stenmark did a lot of socialising).

I was responsible for the (hilariously dated) electronic timing and scoring of the races, as featured here:

Yeah, Ingemar is one of a kind! I’ve said hi to him a couple of years ago. I think he’s won every thing he’s competed in. He’s still extremly fit for his age. Think he’s in to pole vault now!

Edit: This is from another series, Mästarnas mästare. It's from 2011 and I think he's 55y here.

When I was 11 I attended a Bobby Moore soccer school and got to play a match with the great man! This was almost 30 years ago now but still remember the couple of passes we exchanged.
I sat next to him in the old Lewes main stand when he was Manager of Oxford City. Didn’t shake hands or chat though. I have subsequently spoken to an ex Oxford City player who works for the Albion and he didn’t think much to Moore as a manager, very impatient with amateur players.

I could have said Nick Cave - what might have been - best I can come up with is Arthur Askey and Mary Wilson (poet and Harold’s wife)

Volunteered at the London2012 Olympics and got put in the Athlete's Village so ended up meeting a load of different sportsmen/women.
Loads of dignitaries too. Great fun.
Had an extended chat with the King of Sweden before realising who he was!
Another highlight was telling Sir Clive Woodward to move on.
Some nice chats with Ellen White who seemed to go in and out of the village regularly.
Sad not to have met Jess Ennis though

Bobby Charlton when my son won a place on his soccer school in Crawley way back in 1990. It was great to meet my absolute soccer hero. Chatted about the poor standard of driving (of all things!).
