A long slow simmer would be my preference. After they've suffered enough, what better club to add to his stable?

Oh no. Cold would be to spend time putting the club on a slow burn. Agitating. Periodically increasing your stake. 'Negotiating' to buy it.
And then pulling out at the very last moment.
I'll raise you "doing a Bill Archer and Greg Stanley".
Buy the club, sell the assets, stick a toy shop on the ground.

Our history is actually worse than any fictional scenario you and I can make up about a club we currently despise due to a horror tackle.
