What is happening this window at the Albion is revolutionary, and yet it is completely going under the radar.
It's possibly because we have spent 'relatively' small on a number of players, rather than an eye-watering sum on one. It's the latter that gets in the news.

By 'relatively' I mean relative to Chelsea & Caicedo and so on.

I think quite a few teams have spent vast sums of money before. Villa recently (unless you are calling them a big established club), Forest werent far off when they got promoted, and Blackburn the best example when they won the league by buying far bigger stars than we have this season.
What I mean is we're not buying up the biggest and best like Blackburn did, or just buying a lot of players like Forest did. It feels like Bloom's masterplan has been leading up to this moment all along.

No, the West Hams and Villas, Leeds and Newcastle before them all spent big on established Prem players, and that did not go under the radar. I just watched Limeker, Shearer and Micah's podcast prediction for the 2024/25 season team by team, and they have not got a f***ing clue what is going on, no reasearch done whatsoever. Indeed, Richards spent all of his Albion segment laughing at how he had mispronounced Gross "Pascal Grow" (silent esses) before all 3 agreed ""yeah, midtable" and moved on swiftly - and more enthusiastically - to Chelsea.

I think this is the biggest assault on a Top 6 spot by a club outside the Big 10 ever in the Prem. But under the radar because it's all about the Top 6 clubs.

Add up all our signings this window and it’s still only barely spending what we got from them for Caicedo and Cucurella

Had a shock then ffs! Very weird for a 33k account to tweet something like that isn’t it? Or is it more a fan channel?

Fair enough. Few would have heard of most the players we have signed, I think the difference is that we've taken promising talent from established leagues this time around (and paid more for the luxury) rather than distant lands and Tony has timed it so there is very little competition from PSR restricted EPL teams. We have cetainly never had a stronger squad which I think is only now starting to get noticed by others.

This one in and it’s done with no need for deadline day drama. Maybe the PSV bloke but that seems to have gone quiet and isn’t a necessity. Just got to find some decent loans to get some wages off the books and development time for some - the odd sale too but nobody really important…

Amazing window it seems.
f*** it let's drop £30m+ on Inacio or Diomande from Sporting and REALLY end the summer with a statement.

the way this window is playing out is almost as if Tony B was a master poker player in a 10 year tournament laying smaller bets and winning many small let’s dare to say ‘insignificant’ hands, pocketing away the proceeds. All the while his opponents, and some fans, failing to register how ginormous his pockets had become . Then one day, when all the others had spent big for all those years, had almost jack sh1te left and TB plays a ‘ker pow - take that suckers’ hand and cleans right up.

Nah mate. This is Brighton; no plan, no structure, no new stadium, no clue. Yank's out.

As an aside, I wonder how much jealousy is going on up the road?

The other thing is any big six signing gets loads of press. We're not stealing headlines unless we sign a has-been or Mbappe.

What is happening this window at the Albion is revolutionary, and yet it is completely going under the radar.

It has taken us several seasons to amass a sufficiently sized war chest to bring in the raft of players we have, I don't think we've seen anyone outside of the big established clubs do anything like this before.
Because we're of no real interest to the likes of Talksport, BBC Sport, Sky, we're not big news or clickbait, it's therefore not commercially viable to give us much air time or exposure, more than they (I imagine somewhat begrudgingly) have to.
