I saw them twice when they were supposedly at their best, and both times they were shite and upstaged by the support bands. For the most part they were great on record, but live - no thanks…..
IMHO, they should leave the legacy where it is
I saw them supported by The Verve who were excellent but I did also enjoy Oasis.

Dad rock. Leave it where it is.
It hasn’t aged well either. The lyrics might sound good to a young teen in the ‘90s but with adult ears, it’s absolute dribble paired with sections of melody nicked from Beatles songs in the same way they nicked wheels off cars when they were kids.

The brothers must have run out of money.

Will it be in the UK only, or All Around The World?

Have been seeing quite legitimate rumours and hints that after 15 years, the band will be forming again for their 30th anniversary tour, next year. Usually, I just brush it off as we have been fooled before, but this feels different and having watched the recent interview release with Noel and his sincere warming to his heyday and kind words to Liam, and vice versa with Liam on the DM tour.

Could this genuinely now happen? Or am I getting fooled (AGAIN)?
I've seen Oasis 5 times over the years and Noel Gallagher and his HFB twice.
All great gigs.

Personally for me I think it'll be a mistake and won't be the same as their previous gigs.
They'll argue and fall out, all to leave the 'fans' disappointed.
All IMO of course.

Who watches support bands?

*edit* unless you're a big fan of the support band and have come along especially to, er, support them
“Support bands” is possibly worth its own thread.
First one off the top of my head was The Magic Numbers I’d never heard of (supporting Athlete at Brixton) went on to become one of my favourites

Radiohead. Pixies. The Sundays. Off the top of my head I’ve seen all those as the support act. (And on a two-band bill, too - I’m not talking festivals etc). Probably several others if I search my memory…

You reckon? I think they'll have separate changing rooms and only be on stage together. Doubt they'll see each other much before and after gigs...

They never really broke America, just too Mancunian for their own good.

I saw them at their height in Australia. Over there it was easy to get a ticket.
Edited for possible clarity

Early 80s Top Rank Suite Brighton, Peter & the Test Tube Babies supporting The Damned (I think) I definitely saw them as a support band, they were supporting The Damned or Anti Nowhere League.

Although I’m more into metal I did see Oasis a few times including Knebworth. Have seen Liam solo a couple of times and he still has it. Will try and get tickets for Heaton Park if the rumours are true.
