I found it quite thought-provoking.

What if UKIP got to be the third largest party? Their baggage makes them a non-starter for any coalition, so where would that leave us?

What baggage?

The Economist Intelligence Unit predicted upsets i Greece France and the UK this year. 1 out of 1 so far.

Pity that the Union flag in the background when she made her initial keynote speech was upside down.

I wonder if that was done intentionally to send out a subliminal message that UKIP aren't all that bright and the sort of thing you would expect to see at a BNP rally ?

Was a pure pleasure to see him get ripped apart recently in the EU parliament as it was pointed out to him he hadn't shown up for any meeting of any committee he is on for over 3 years but still takes the money . He , as usual tried to laugh it off but he is increasingly been exposed as the absolute piece of cheating scum he us, rinsing the tax payer for his own coffers. What a slime, what a fool people are to consider voting for him. Scum. Subhuman scum.

This could be interesting, hopefully it will make an example of some of their more scary, fascist-like policies.

Not wishing to defend UKIP but if you held every political party to scrutiny over what they say they'll do (as a sum total of what their members say as well as their "official" manifesto) versus what they actually do in the first 100 days (or indeed first 10 years!), then none of them would look good!

You are funny...............quite an invective from you here.

Have a think about it though, UKIP got more votes than any other party in the last EU elections which says (for those that cared to vote) most people support UKIP's policy with the EU.

Now, (bear with me because this is the complex bit), there are millions of people that do not agree with the EU, not least how they hoover up billions of pounds of UK taxpayers money to dish it out somewhere else and all without any democratic mandate to the UK electorate if you please.

Those people that are voting for UKIP wont care a fig about Nigel weighing into the EU's expenses or not turning up to committees becuase they want no part of the EU in the first place. His is playing to his audience, there is nothing wrong in that.............THAT is why they voted for his party.

This is not a new dynamic either................you can knock yourself out with this one............

No, no, no. You are getting way too confused and bogged down. My point was that he never shows up but takes the money. End of. No more, no less. He's no better than all the other thieving politicians . The fact people vote for him tells me they are dolts, not that he is worthy.

Yes, yes, yes.

He was democratically elected, so he has a right to take the money, end of.

All his polictical constituency will expect him to do so, they will consider it a minor recompense on the money we pay over for nothing.................I am no apologist for UKIP, however Nigel is not theiving, he is getting back rom the EU what has already been stolen from the UK taxpayer.

The only tragedy is we are not getting more.

The programme seemed to try to hard to not be biased towards UKIP - and focused too much on their anti-EU anti-immigration policies, rather than what they truly represent.

I hate to break it to you but the party was formed on this agenda and it is still the mainstay of the party's policies. Hence why any programme 'about' UKIP is going to be based around that policy.

I've not watched it but I do find it unnerving that a broadcaster can air such a programme so close to a General Election. Where's the equivalent for the Greens ? Hopefully the backlash will be that more people think about voting UKIP as seems to happen everytime the mainstay establishment attack them. And make no mistake, Channel Four are part of that establishment.

Don't you think that programmes like this make people think about politics, which is exactly what we want them to do before casting their vote?

This wasn't supposed to be a prediction of exactly what would happen in the first 100 days, it was fictitious and centred on an Asian UKIP MP suddenly catapulted into the limelight. I believe that the main focus of their first 100 days probably would be about repatriation, beefing up our borders and being seen to root out illegal immigrants, and I can believe this would "shake things up".

I don't think the programme was that damaging to UKIP - it may actually help them to prepare for the election campaign as they'll now be able to gauge people's fears more accurately than if the programme had never aired.

As usual Bibble and Mr Despot Apologist turn up to drip their burblings over proceedings. Can honestly say I've seen very little evidence of any actual Albion related postings from either of them.

At the end of the day, one of the biggest problems this county faces is that political apathy is rampant. And why? Because there is genuinely no party in UK politics that really does what it is meant to do - to be about the people, for the people. UKIP has done a pretty impressive PR job in getting "Nige" looking like a blokes kinda chap, with a pint and a fag, but behind it all, they are no better than any of them. I'll vote on May 8th, purely because my view is that if you don't vote, you don't get the right to complain. But at this moment I'm very undecided. Until the parties actually start looking electable (as none of them do to me at the moment), expect voters to either stay away or vote for the wolf in sheeps clothing.

In fairness to Channel 4 they have not strictly broken any rules.Me you and every other person knows the election has started but according to Offcom guidelines the election doesnt officially start until the Dissolution of Parliament on March 30th.
If they had broadcast it after this date we no doubt would have also seen including stereotypes

Tories The First 100 Days-Docudrama where the Tories totally dismantle The NHS and eat babies and disabled people

Greens The First 100 Days-Docudrama highlighting the powerful role of yogurt knitting, bongo drums and rainbows in the 21st century.

Labour The First 100 Days-Docudrama exposing the efforts to reinstate The Paedophile Information Exchange through compulsory diversity training workshops.

SNP The First 100 Days-Docudrama based in in a Leith Chippy where most people seem utterly confused as to what they are doing.

And now the follow up documentary (same channel) "The Romanians are Coming!"

The programme will not change my mind. I will vote Ukip because the EU does nothing for me or my wallet and I want out. I have voted tory all my life as I believe in low taxes and personal, non state interference . This so called tory party have actually raised taxes and are a complete shambles. Labour, the "people's party" have killed thousands in illegal wars and spent my tax money on importing migrant workers to fill jobs at cheaper rates whilst keeping 7 million brits on the states leash. I fancy a complete change and will risk Ukip for 5 years until the real tory party turn up. I may turn out to regret this decision, only time will tell.
