[Albion] Palace away tickets

Think that it might be difficult for those outside of tier 1 to get a ticket for any of the remaining away games. Not impossible mind, the system is robust enough that it will offer chances to tier 2 and maybe 3 for Wolves and Spurs, but as far as a run of four away games go, those are going to be three immensely popular ones!
Wolves away went to members at the start of last season, when fans were harvesting points, didn't it?

Starting a revolution from my bed
It's a bugger.

missed out on Bournemouth last season by a handful of points - and then you're in with 9k others on day 2.
I still maintain they need to change this. It’s far too big a jump in points.

Either make the gaps narrower, or - in high demand/low allocation games like this, where barely any tickets make it beyond tier 1 - put the remaining tickets into a lottery of some kind.

At least that way it means those who are less tech-savvy or unable to access the internet at all times still have a chance of getting a ticket.

The point a lot of you are making still stands - the allocation should be for a narrower points range in my view - but I thought the points Tiering was as follows :

24,000 ST Holders

Tier 1 : The allocation
Tier 2 : Top 25% (Top 6,000)
Tier 3 : Top 50% (Top 12,000)
Tier 4 : All ST (Currently 24,000 ish)

Point being there are 3000 of us fighting over 300 tickets instead of 6000.

I get it if you're in tier 2 and only 1 point behind why should you be in the same round as someone with 90 points less. And on the face of it and in this isolated instance it does certainly seem fair.

However the wider point is surely that by having wider tiers there is more chance for people to build their points and one day achieve tier 1. I have first hand experience that this works. My wife stated following us when I was already tier 1 and she was a new season ticket holder. Within three years of being dragged to every away game (and we pretty much did the lot at the time) she reached tier 1. If the tiers had been much more narrow I think that would have been very very difficult to achieve as you'd rarely get the chance to add. This is even more the case now that nearly all away games are selling out.

Ok who are the 196 people in Tier 1 who haven't bought a ticket yet - call yourself a fan

You could argue that it is a lottery as it is.

Bournemouth and Brentford in particular should have narrower points allocations IMHO. In this particular instance so should Palace. They are going to sell out in 2 days whatever way they cut it.

Plenty of chances to build your points elsewhere. Man City tickets are available for anyone that wants 15 points.

I myself have got to 338 points in 2 and a bit seasons. It might look like "pocket talk" on my part but I made the same point last year when I had over 100 points fewer.

There are plenty of opportunities to gain more points, you just have to travel further and go to the less glamourous games. Plenty of people have done it.

Yep. One of our group has only had an ST for 3 seasons (previously had one but had to stop), but is now comfortably back in T1.

Man City been sold out for a while. Had 6 wheelchair seats for about a week but these also gone or removed now.
