A really poor 25 minutes or so from him.

An ineffective cameo much like when he was with us tonight. Potter not getting a tune out of him yet. In fairness to him West Ham were pretty woeful overall though
Yes. They were dogshit.
He has inherited a crap squad and a wankerish recruitment team.
How did he manage to do so well with us?
Hang on.....

A couple of years ago I really thought he’d end up being a well over £100m sale one day. Based on a full back going for £62m, Rice at the time touted at £100m. Effective top flight finishers are worth their weight in gold, Ferguson was a natural like Fowler or Rooney. Instinctively striking early when goalies weren’t set.

What a fall or dip. Last season genuine ITK’s said he was playing through a secret injury. What’s the reason this season? He’s lost all mental strength and running. At 18 he was visibly stronger than CB’s ten years his senior, for 18 months they bully him in every coming together. So strange. 2022/23 showed he had all the attributes.

Totally this. Very strange situation. I thought he would be one of the best in the world. Still plenty of time but not going in the right direction!

I wish we had sold him! I knew we’d regret making it a loan. Let’s hope he can score a goal so that we get some transfer value for him.

It’s very odd, you don’t just “lose it” unless you have gone off the rails or have medical/psychological problems do you? He played enough PL games to show that he is a talented footballer and comfortable at this level unlike Aaron who only shone in a couple of first team games.

I think I read that he’d had glandular fever which can take ages to recover from fatigue?

Every time I have seen him play since injury he looks like he has lost energy. He looks to me as though he is not stretching himself which was a big part of his game when he came on the scene.

Is it possible that he still has fatigue a year on from glandular fever? I find it hard to believe that he is just going through the motions for Ireland, the Albion and WHU. If it was just us I could believe that maybe it’s just that he has become a misfit here, but it’s for three different teams and managers.

As I said, it really is an odd one
