Hello good people of NSC. I don`t know if this allowed ( mods, please remove if not) but I`m taking part in the Brighton Half Marathon in a couple of weeks with my two sons. I`m a wheelchair user and plan to complete the race in my day chair - a big challenge considering I`ve never done anything as stupid as this before! Not planning on it. I've got an MS running vest, but I guess I could wear my BHA cap. As long as I'm not on deaths door at that point, I'll try and say hi on the day

We managed to complete the course in one piece (a minor miracle), and in 2hr18 which is around 12 mins faster than we were anticipating. Thank you to everyone who supported us. We absolutely smashed our fund raising target!

I always said during training that I'd never do this again, but the event itself may have given me the bug. I also got shat on by a Seagull on the course, but I think that "luck" transcended up to Newcastle and Dat Guy's sublime finish. What a time to be alive! UTA
