Penalty for Spurs reserves against Portsmouth tonight.

The other goal in a 2-0 win a screamer from Mark Yeates - who later got himself sent off.
Don't remember him being a dirty or petulant player BEFORE a couple of months ago. . . Mixing with bad influences, obviously.
Well, okay, a bit mouthy if denied a decision.

Argus this evening says a "Zamora exclusive" in tomorrow's paper. Hmm.

He'll come good at Spurs, eventually. Believe. ;)

He'll only come good at Spurs if tosser Pleat gives him a chance. Postiga missed 2 more open goals Sunday which Zamora would have put away. With Kanoute away if Zamora cannot get in the side now he is finished at Spurs especially after how shit Postiga is.

Why that clown Pleat keeps playing Postiga is beyond me. Even Spurs fan must see that Zamora needs to be given 4 games for 90 minutes. The judge him.

Postiga was rubbish, apart from that corner. I didn't see the whole game, but he missed two sitters, does not look very skillful, and looks to be playing for himself rather than the team. Pleat can't rate Zamora.

I heard Zamora is off to West Ham, with Dafoe going in the other
direction as part of the deal.
I don't know if this has been mentioned before?

Four games (mostly quite recently), five goals - including two against the Spammers.
Can't quite fathom whether Pleat actively doesn't rate him or is just largely indifferent.
Isn't there some fairly-recent Uefa law which means a club can't sell a player less than 12 months after buying him? Doesn't rule out a loan, I know, but reckon he's not been written off already. Otherwise someone like Yeates or Slabber would possibly be challenging him closer for a place on the bench.

Talks a good game, though, in today's Argus (which seems to be looking pretty decent, incidentally) interview while seeming pretty honest about the difficulties he's experienced stepping up. He's looked a hard worker, though - saying which has seemed to surprise a few Albion fans I know, is that fair?

I know I'm straying probably too far off Albion topics, but think the above criticism of Postiga is a little unfair - though opinion is predictably very divided among Tottenham fans. I think he played well in the second half the other day, some lovely touches, nutmegs and general link-up play - but yes, for a striker, you have to put those chances away. Reckon the boy has class, just no confidence (and very little upper-body strength, at least Bobby the Beanpole looks as if he'll chase for every half-chance).
Funny though how when Kanoute signed, many Spurs fans rated him the least (and laziest) of the new boy strikers. . .
Puts into perspective all our fuss last week shillying and shallying over raising £15m for transfers, when our local rivals (in geographical terms, not currently in achievement, I know) today go out and quietly spend almost £20m on a star new signing. . .
Spurs may talk the talk, but the walk - well, we're still working on it, I know. . .
