bit worrying for English music when a 2 bit blue eyed soul singer (Joss Stone) is in a lot of peoples top 5. She's released one album of sing along mediocre covers, her vocal range and tone are both good for her age but shes well down the pecking order of current soul singers, she's not even a top 20er.

Theyre ****s who should be doing a mandatory life sentence for the pre-meditated murder of an English classic.

Mates or no mates you should disown them for this alone. Plus they cant sing for toffee and they sound like just another white boy wannabe black american soul singer without an once of class.

f*** EM. Shoot em. Stab em.

Get off the fence Twatty :D

Erghh! Are you serious? I saw them twice recently supporting Maiden at Earls Court & in Dublin. They were very average and the lead singer has a bad attitude.

I love Bad Attitude :p

Why would I hit my own mates in the face?

No wonder you haven't got any friends.

Here goes nothing...

I'm a bit more of a fan of dance music than indie or pop, so I don't really buy albums, however 've recently had a bit of an album buying. This includes albums by Air, Snow Patrol, Libertines, Franz Ferdinand & the Coral.

You know what I'm listening to most?

Will Young.

very good album.

I meant by passing on my regards......and anyhow I'd rather not have mates with that little talent or that little to contribute to the wider world. When I take a shit at least it might end up actually helping something grow. They release audio turd. It stinks and is of no use at all. It dont contribute.

Well I enjoy it so it is of use to me and so they do contribute.

Why are you in such a mood today?

ps I know what you meant.

er...

It's not like the "i can't believe roxanne is out..." thread is it?

It's ok to contribute an opinion but I wouldn't be nearly brave enough to start a

"Will Young's new album is great!" thread.

It is good though.

The keyboardist was my assistant for a while when i was in publishing. Really nice bloke. Went for drinks with him and the singer and they're alright.
Quite surprised at how well they seem to be about to do, though.

I'm afriad there's not one British artist or band doing anything remotely exciting, new or different at the moment.

This is a scene where people know that their latest idol is completely manufactured and yet still go out and buy it by the bucketload. A scene where a 17 year old doing kareoke soul covers is regarded as exciting.

Sorry to be a spoilsport.
