What? Hammond got soton promoted playing defensive midfielder. Bridcutt continuously giving the ball away.

I'd bring in Hammond for bridcutt, put barnes up front and lua lua for dicker.

4-4-2 with wingers.

Poyet has never played 442 and i dont think he ever will regardless of the strikers on the books or a big striker with presence that everyone talks about. I could be wrong but it would be a huge change in his footballing ethos....

I would agree with this. Gus has got to start CMS with Dobbie for a few games to see if this is the answer to our striker problem. At least we'll then know if Dobble has been a mistake.

Unfortunately the above team does not have 3 defensive midfielders and 1 defensive forward in it which is what he started our last home game with so I can't see him starting away with more attacking options.

I am getting to the stage where I think that mixing and matching our current squad is not going to be good enough. Unless Gus goes out and gets a big striker with presence, and soon, I have an idea that our season may be in danger of dwindling out before it has even started. A depressing thought.

Unfortunately I'm inclining this way too but I think we should have a real 95 minute "go" against Blackpool. We've got nothing to lose, we know the way they're going to play so lets have a footy fest of attacking football (and then I woke up!)

How can a player that has been here less than two months and had limited game time be in last chance saloon? In fact what Dobbie really needs is a decent run in the side.
