Who would you start with?

Not sure on the keeper but if we get Blayney then obviously him but the rest would be:

LB Mayo
RB Dodd
CB Butters
CB El Abd

LM Hammond
RM Reid
CM Oatway
CM Carpenter

F Knight
F Kazim-Richards

Might seem odd having El Abd in the centre but from the sounds of todays match report Dodd linked up well with Reid and I think it is important to have a bit more pace alongside Butters. When Hinsh returns the back four will look solid.

Hammond needs to play. He is one of the few players who actually gambles on getting into the box and ahead of the forwards which gives the team more options when going forward and pulls defenders out of shape.

Blayney (or other keeper)
lb: Mayo (doesn't look like we'll be signing another left back)
rb: Jason Dodd
cb: Butters
cb: Ashby (or El Abd)

rm: Reid
lm: Hammond
cm: Oatway
cm: Chippy

fwd: Knight
fwd: CKR

Subs: Martin, El Abd (Ashby), Nicolas, Jarrett, Turienzo.

I agree Hammond deserves a starting place in the squad as he has an excellent scoring record and is the only midfielder that gambles and gets into the box when we attack.

Dodd, I reckon, has to play right back. The way he was getting forward today at Bournemouth was really good and his crosses were excellent. He linked well with Reid, who with last season behind him, can cover for Dodd if he gets stuck forward.

Hammond is clearly progresssing and needs games to improve. I'm not convinced he's quite there yet but he needs games to improve and I think he'll start with Jarrett regualrly getting sub appearances to prove himself.

It would be good to see Leon up front with Kazim. I've got a feeling McCammon may start to push back the defence and allow Richards room.
Code:
                 Blayney/Martin

Dodd El-Abd/Ashby Butters Mayo

Reid Carpenter Oatway Hammond

           Kazim-Richards McCammon

Either would be a gamble i would think?

I havent seen either play so just going on reports and here.

Yeah i think both are big gambles its just Turienzo has played about 80 games and CKR has played about 20. I think as they are both unproven could be worth going for the experienced player

That'd do me, although I dare say Oatway will be in there somewhere. Without any real width aside from Harty, 3-5-2 would seem to offer our best chance of defending solidly and nicking a goal.

Playing Hammond out wide is the best way to fit everyone in though. Both Carpenter and Oatway can still play in the middle (maybe even Nicolas). And we dont have to play Leon left midfield. I suppose Jarrett could play there, but is he good enough.

He played excellently there today :) :drink: The thing is, he's good enough to play across the midfield.

I'm going to punt for our second-half team today, because I'm easily influenced by the last thing I've looked at. :)

Code:
        Blayney or Loan Keeper

Dodd Ashby Butters Mayo

          Nicolas

Reid Carpenter Oatway Hammond

          Kazim-Richards

Subs: Sullivan, El Abd, Hart, McCammon, Knight.

I know you'll all hate this, but here goes!

Blayney

Reid Ashby Butters Dodd

Hart Oatway Hammond Knight

Kazim-Richards Robinson

Subs: Martin, Carpenter, Turienzo, Mayo, Nicolas.

The way i see it we have no-one good enough to play either left back or left mid, therefore i feel this is our strongest side with what we have at the moment and i'm sure knight would be good on the left feeding Jakey and CKR.
