Prob cost me about £300, and then another £700 in TPFT insurance.

Due to a dodgy carburetor it done about 12MPG..eek..

Cost Sixty Five to buy and Seventy Five to insure, TPF and T. Mullery was just about to take over from PT.

Bought it as I was taking driving lessons in an MM. Passed my test and sold it as scrap 4 months later.

Moved on to an Escort Mark One.

Oh dear! 1936 Austin 10. Beautiful old bus, wish I still had it. Bought it for £10, kept it for 2 years, sold it for £10. It broke a conrod coming up Manor Hill and my Dad and I repaired it overnight because I was going to London in it the next day. Petrol was 20p a gallon (that's 4.5 litres to you). I always remember that the French students we had at the time laughed when they saw the number plate CUL - French slang for 'Arse'!
