If you read the posts by Worthai Seagull beforehand Gareth, it all becomes very clear I wasn't talking about myself. I was 5 by the way, which makes me having my 50th birthday on the first day of the 2011/12 season, hope we get a home game.

LOL..... i was 13. After England had won the World Cup , i decided i wanted to watch the Albion . Parents thought i was mad , but let me go ..and that was that. 'Brighton till I die '!

Sorry but it was a long time ago, still remember that Barrow played in dark reddy brown shirts which looked shitty, Albion really stood out against them in their lovely blue & white stripes. And some wise words from my dad "if the ball flies towards you, duck!"

2-2 draw, went every home game after that and Archie Macauley took the team up as champions.
Hooked.

First game that I can remember who we played, was in 1954 when we beat Tonbridge. I think the score was 5 - 0 but I'm quite happy to be corrected.

I know I went to earlier games, 52-53 season, but can't remember who we played.
