I used to get the 5B or the 26 to school. The driver of the 26 once got so IRATE with all the kids ringing the bell that he drove, without stopping, to Hollingbury Asda and left us in the car park.

So probably that one.

has to be my local 27/27a.. though the 77 to the syke is fun, but ONLY if you sit at the very front upstairs, or you will get a head full of leaves etc, when passing nearby treees..

i am sure the drivers do it on pupose!

Which route takes in the best sites and is best value for just £3.20 day saver or a £1.70 single journey

Why pay the driver £3.20 for travel that confines you to the Brighton / Shoreham / Lewes / Seaford area, when you can get a one-day SuperSAVER ticket from the B&H Bus Company's website for only £2.80 that gives you unlimited travel as far as Tunbridge Wells or Eastbourne?

If you're looking at value for money on a single bus route, the journey on the 29 from Brighton to Tunbridge Wells and back will give you 3 hours and 34 minutes travelling. Or there's 3 hours 6 minutes to spend on the 12A, going from Brighton to Eastbourne and back, via Birling Gap.

Do both journeys on the same day for only £2.80.

You could take the kids with you for only 20p a journey as well, if they've got a free BusID pass.

I know you are old enough to remember the ROVER' tickets that the trains used to do back in the 60's

That was before we had a dog.

However ... I do remember the excellent special days out that were occasionally available when Network Cards were first launched - a whole day's travel anywhere in the Network SouthEast area for 50 pence was the best deal EVER.

I remember getting very pissed at the pub that doubles up as the Manningtree station buffet.
