I prefer the quote of another scotsman

"If they're good enough, they're old enough."

Would probably say they are players with good prospects who should play some games but not be over used. He would probably also say they won't be as good as Neville, Scholes, Butt and Beckham. Hopefully he wont make anything of them and we can keep them as our secret and the future backbone to our team.

He'd say "your going down" and he'd be right.

Roger Byrne, 28
Studious, speedy England international left-back from Manchester who made his debut in 1951 and was the captain of the remarkable team.
Eddie Colman, 21
Short, compact, right-sided midfielder from Salford who could, it was said, dummy the grandstand with a swivel of his hips.
Duncan Edwards, 21
Incomparable, the biggest loss to the English game. The prodigy from Dudley dominated the left side of midfield and could single-handedly turn a match.
Mark Jones, 24
Strong, commanding central defender, born in Barnsley.

David Pegg, 22
The archetypal left-winger, pacy and tricky, signed from school in Doncaster.

Tommy Taylor, 26
Signed from Barnsley for £29,999, led the attack with bravery and gusto, a "target man" ahead of his time.
Liam Whelan, 22
Tall, sinuous inside-forward from Dublin, picked his way through defences with an unhurried gait.

Geoffrey Bent, 25
Byrne's understudy, the left-back from Salford would have enjoyed first-team status elsewhere.

To be fair, we appear to have a fantastic bunch of lads being developed by Deano. However, it is not good for them to get extended runs in a struggling team, without older and wiser players around them for support. E.g. McShane is developing all of the time under the guidance of Guy Butters. He also does all of Guy's running for him. So it is a productive partnership. :lolol:

Double negative, there. Tut, tut.

I, of course would have used correct grammar and said that you do not win anything with kids.

the average of those ages is 23.6 years...

What is the youngest BHAFC "First Team" anyone is aware of....? When would it have been most likely to occur? Very recently perhaps?

I think we also have a great bunch of youngsters, and although we are struggling at the moment, we will be ok and next season we will consolidate our status in the championship, only to push for that prem place as soon as Falmer is up and running.

Well, somebody has to be optomistic on this bloody board.
