the road to wrestlemania 26 begins tonight and tension is building ahead of the 2010 royal rumble, and i, for one cannot WAIT for this years event

there are quite a few possible winners and possibilities as to what could happen that it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to know who is going to take the win. will michaels make history and draw level with stone cold on three rumble wins and go onto face the undertaker for the world heavyweight belt? will triple h win it, leading to the inevitable dx split? will it be cena in his quest to win back the title? could it be batista or an outsider like the big show or cm punk? will edge shock the world ala cena in 2008 and return? who will be the shock entries from yesteryear, if there are any at all

so many questions to be answered come 1am - i cant bloody wait

WWE is like a f***ing soap opera. :lolol:

By the way, I've heard Edge is returning as the 30'th man in the rumble, ala Cena last year.

Please tell me you are under 15 to be getting excited about that nonsense. At least in the good old days of ITV wresting with Kent Walton it always presented itself as tongue in cheek and nothing more tham the panto it really is.

UFC any time! No bullshit and they really hurt each other!

Quite frankly if your over 10 and still like wrestling then there is something wrong with you.

Unless it was in a film, where there is an overriding storyline of which he fight is only one part of it. Unlike wrestling where the fights are only one part of an overriding storyline... oh wait.

A good wrestling match will be a feature of a well booked feud, a storyline that draws you in and makes you see where it goes (much like films). The fight itself will have drama, and excitement (much like "real fights" and action scenes in movies), maybe some impressive athletics and impressive physicality (much like gymnastic, or highly choreographed shows, such as ballet, etc), and will draw you in, make you lose yourself in the moment, and make you forget that what you're seeing is all scripted (like a well performed play/movie/tv show).

Many people say the same thing about football, and a lot of other "real sports". Admittedly, they are mostly women or cultural snobs who just don't understand mainstream sport.

Back to scotty's question, for me it has to be CM Punk or Edge, though Y2J winning would be good.

Have another heel win it, not many do if memory serves right, though Orton last year and Vince are only exceptions I can think of!!

heels NEVER win it bar the two you have mentioned - ill be delighted with ANYONE but triple h or cena, as there are plenty of potential storylines that can come from the other contenders doing so going into wrestlemania. actually, if triple h wins it i will personally vomit into an envelope and send it to wwe hq to indicate my displeasure

I reckon Edge, unless they're going to have Shawn win it and get his WM rematch with 'taker that way.

I enjoy the odd bit of wrestling. Mainly for the 'storylines' and banter between fights. I also wouldn't mind watching the royal rumble, but don't think I can bring myself to pay £15 for it!

I want Kofi Kingston to win if he's in it
