An obvious bit of fishing, however, the signing of Vicente is important to the club because the English lads at the club can all learn from him. His skill levels, approach to the game and overall professionalism can only be good for all of them.
Honestly, technically, I'm not sure there is. Possibly Rooney.

Fair point. On that evidence, Vicente shits over everyone in the England squad. And the fact that a Brighton & Hove Albion player has greater technical ability than anyone in the England squad says a lot, I feel.

The fact Vicente is Spanish has nothing to do with he appeal as far as I'm concerned. He is class and a proven international player and for some reason he's playing for us.
The English equivalent would be if we signed someone like Joe Cole - and yes he would be pretty popular too I would imagine.
