Anyone who thinks McGammon, Pethick or Kitson is one of the worst players to play for the Albion must either be a newbie or a mental case.

We were one of the worst sides in the country for a few years and had some truly shocking players turning out for us. I can't really see anyone beating Ashley Neal as the worst, although there were several who came close.

Neal was indeed absolute wank, but I still think Mahoney-Johnson beats him. He didn't look remotely threatening in front of 6,500 against what was basically a pub team.

Les Berry looked crap - in a team that flirted with promotion to the top flight for 3 seasons.

Glen Thomas, who could forget his performance at Brentford.

Damian Hilton was an absolute shocker during the Gillingham years.

As someone said, no matter how bad certain players have been in recent years, we once finished second bottom of the entire league, two years in a row, and it would be difficult to imagine there are many worse players than most of that team- Mahoney-Johnson, Lawrence Davies etc.

I also hold a soft spot for Mark Walton amongst our worst keepers, while, going back a bit further, Les Briley was a steaming great pile of manure.

Ashley Neal without a doubt ,evening game away at Rochdale lost 3-0 when we were going through the troubles.Absolutely shocking display by an Albion player ever he wan't even trying you could see he didn't give a f*** not that he had anything to offer. Thought cause he had a famous dad he could play never seen a worst centre back, daddies defensive skills obviously hadn't rubbed off.Wanker and disgrace to the shirt for not trying .
