Jordan wants to investigate the possibility of forging links with other clubs around the world to benefit Iain Dowie's team.
The chairman said: "We are looking as far afield as America, plus countries across Europe, Scandinavia and so on. We want to link up with overseas clubs, with a view to them being feeder clubs for us. We will also be looking at merchandising, but that's not the main motivation.
"Iain Dowie's brother Bob, who we recently appointed as director of football, will be heavily involved. He comes from a strong commercial background and is enthusiastic about taking this club further than it has been taken before."
