Why the f*** are work canteens so shit when it comes to choice of menu

Yesterday i had to make do with pork and apple hotpot which contained two chunks of pork and no f***ing apple, and today, there wasn't anything that was even worth attempting to eat which in turn caused a trip into town for something edible!!!!!!

I'm very pissed off with this!!

Does anyone else have shit work canteens?

Dessert Lemon Sponge with Custard

We haven't got one here, but when i did some temping about 6 years ago at LLoyds Registrars in Worthing they had a great canteen, top nosh at giveaway prices, sadly i've since heard it was closed down in a cost cutting exercise.

One geezer got food poisoning yesterdasy after eating a sarnie form our canteen.

Credit where it's due. We do good jacket potatoes - £1.50 with a ton of filling and nice fresh salad garnish.

Not tried anything else from their selection though.

The best work canteen I've ever experienced was at the Royal Mail in Brighton, when I was a postie for a bit. Full fryups for about 80p!

The Royal Mail canteen in Leicester was also top quality. Not good for the waistline though - a fry up every day.

I'd be 17 stome with a subsidised canteen.

I think I'll take the soup. A few extra chips with my cottage pie ? Crumble and Custard please. Cheese and biscuits ? rude not to. I'll not take the butter, have to watch my weight you know.

we've got a brand new school canteen open for the first time today!

you got a jammyt-dodger sized burger for 90p! and a ham sandwich for £1. and a can of coke for 60p.

its a bloody rip off, but i like it. and it means you aint weighed down by a lunch box all day full of crusts and melted chocolate
