It's amazing how many letters I have received asking me to "bare with them" while they look into my query. An invitation to flash?

It should of course be "bear".

Our very own Cypriot U-21 international - it's Nicolas (not Nicholas).

And it's Attila not Atilla.

Just thought - no-one's mentioned its and it's yet. That's got to be the most common howler on here.

Just seen another common one on the Film Club thread - it's shoo-in not shoe-in.

And it's 'should have, could have, would have' NOT 'should of, could of, would of'...

It's and its: IT'S not TOO difficult TO remember where to put ITS apostrophe is it?

That's punctuation, not spelling.

Marvellous. Don't let the American spell-chckers fool you. The US version has one 'l'. We, of course, are British...

Squalor. The English version has no second 'u'.

And if you're British, the ending of the verb should be 'ise', not the American 'ize'.

Microsoft Office is a right bugger for spell checking and those bloody errors
