GH3 is bloody hard, but superb nonetheless (obviously).
The battle mode is brilliant (and you HAVE to win in order to progress to the next batch of songs). Took me ages to beat Slash.

Be warned though Dave - 'Medium' is more like 'Hard' but without the orange fret, in terms of the number of notes flying at you and their speed. Its definitely a step-up in difficulty from GH1 and 2.
