Just about HAD IT UP TO HERE with going cap in hand to JP. The fucker might get reshuffled tomorrow thereby removing the decision neatly from HIS back yard.

JP can't get re-shuffled from his post. He is the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, and that person has to be elected by the party membership. Blair can't re-shuffle Prescott, although he may change one or two items in his portfolio (including planning).

Fair enough, 'the inquiry itself cannot have a predetermined close date' but if that close date even LOOKS like being later than the date of a General Election, then we can all forget Falmer cos the seats will either be won or lost and the impetus will have gone for another four or so years. Which will probably be too late to secure the club's future.

All I'm saying is take the fight TO these people. A little less conversation, a little more ACTION.

As long as the inquiry starts before the general election then nothing will change. Don't forget that the inquiry team will be independent of any political party.

The inquiry is not there to make the decision. It is there to scrutinise the procedure in which the final desicion was reached.

As someone has correctly posted in another thread (sticky?), Prescott has stitched this up in our favour.

The stadium is coming and the nimby objectors had better get used to it.

Keep the faith!

As for your election comments, can you see anything other than Mr + Mrs gullible Joe Public electing Labour in for a third term? As far as the local seat is concerned the fans of the Albion can ensure that a pro-stadium candidate is elected.
