Nice one fella. Can't say I've ever had the physical stuff to deal with. But the last year depression has beat the shit out of me. And I know this site has kept me sane at times. All the best to you and cornish seagull.

Depression is a real bastard! never had it before I had the heart attack, but when it hit I felt like shit and fight it most days. Doctors kept telling me that it was a consequence of the heart problems and subsequent medication! but it still doesn't take away the sheer 'desperation' you sometimes feel. Some of the threads on here about fellow sufferers have really helped and slowly but surely (don't call me shirley) I'm feeling better.

:eek::eek::eek:

We're only on page 2 and so far I think I've counted 3 x heart victims, 1 x manic depressive, and a few suspected insomniacs.

Maybe this site should carry a health warning! :mad:
funny i was just thinking the same maybe bozza should write a disclaimer that NSC is not responsible for the death from heart failure of anyone posting on here and make it a sticky

Its either NSC or porn, the later contributing to my partial blindness. Thank you NSC for allowing me to keep my sight.

18 months ago I suffered a heart attack and was forced to take early retirement(violins). Got depressed, missed the daily banter and was a pain in the arse to live with! Have always loved my Brighton and decided to join NSC believing it would be 'shit'! but was pleasantly surprised. I now know how to 'blanch' runner beans, deal with the Badgers that come into my garden and love the discussions about BHA and so excited about this season. Such a good site. Thank you NSC for keeping me sane! (3pts of Bishops finger is my defence for this ramble)

Further proof, should any be needed, that NSC can be a force for good, as well as evil.

Fortunately, I don't have any current health problems, but I still love NSC.

It is a microcosm of the world at large.
There are rich and poor, left wingers and right, sick and healthy, sick and well adjusted :), old(er) and young.
It is a cross section of society bound together by a common love of the Albion... and in some cases other less worthy teams.

We all tend to associate with people in our own tiny piece of society.
NSC gives us all an insight into a wider world.

That is what keeps me coming back.

(and, given my post time, I'm also an insomniac)

Am I the only one thinking that joining NSC with a user name that includes the words 'cornish' and 'seagull' might be bad for your health?
No, I thought the same! I thought, "Bloody hell, the poor bugger's got heart problems now as well!"
