Why have we sent MAYO to a German specialist?

Isn't that a tincy wincy bit of a waste of money?

Not at all, he will come back with bionic legs and will instantly be the fastest and most skillful player at the club.

Vorspring durch technik, innit.

That was my first thought, but The Insider says the club is footing the bill.

Fair play to the club then.

Whatever people may think about Kerry Mayo, he has been a magnificent servant to the club and the least they can do, IMO, is to help him rehabilitate in the best way possible, so that he can carry on earning a living.

Magnificent servant? I must have missed that...

It just baffles me that there are no EXPERTS in England.

I would say that 400 games over 12 years suggests he has give the club some service.

Also even if they went to an expert in England, it would almost certainly be classed as private treatment, so there would be a cost.

Still nothing like the polarised view.

Probably because we have some duty of care towards him. Would be fairly callous not to get his injury sorted.

Still nothing like a good old fashioned Mayo witch hunt and threads for reaction...

Spot on, whilst he may not have contributed much this season it would be unfair to tell him to sort himself out. It's no different to sending Glenn Murray to the same specialist.

I think there is a difference between treated someone well in house and trying to fast-track their return from injury by sending them to a costly specialist.

I am not saying we should sell Mayo for glue or anything...

I'm a bit concerned that Mssrs Mayo and Murray might end up at some vast pub with bit-titted blondes serving huge steins of beer and trays of Jaegermeister while they barf pork knuckles with dumplings onto the floor while a bloke with an accordian sings Roll Out Ze Barrel and WE'RE ALL FOOTING THE BILL.

Well maybe, just maybe, they have been treated over here and that treatment is not work, hence the fact they are now seeing a specialist.

It is a complete waste of money... however, the biggest mistake is that he should NOT have been offered a deal in the summer... same applies to Harty and Loft... to spend more money on a player who has ZERO chamnce of playing in th first team again is just plain IGNORANT...
