Why did we never think of THIS for the Theatre of Trees?

Found a link to this on a Hudds site...this guy is Timber Joey, the mascot for Portland Timbers in the MLS, and every time they score a goal, he revs up his chainsaw and, er, slices off a bit of log. And the crowd go wild for it

During quiet periods, he roams around the stand, revving up his (fully working) chainsaw. I would very much like to put this idea to Richard Hebberd: do you think he'd go for it?

what a horrible idea. has US soccer ever come up with an "improvement" that is any good for the game?

The seaside.
Chopping up a seagull with a chainsaw is hardly family friendly.

As part of your admirable drive to tailor certain things to away fans at Falmer, perhaps you can get a guy to chainsaw to pieces (in front of the away end each game) whatever that particular club's nickname is... eg an eagle, robin, canary, terrier, lion, saint or whatever? Would certainly garner press coverage...

John Catt would probably moan about chainsaw noise and excess sawdust, but apart from that, what's not to like?

Whatever next? Do the teams in Wisconsin milk a cow or Iowa pick corn? Could imagine the London teams 'B anking' on the pitch but Millwall's probably the closest ground and can't see it catching on there!
