why are we spending money on a court case for this bloke

Doesn't sound like the police checks for his employment were any good at all.

Why would the fact that he was charged with a crime and then acquitted of it appear on any police check? In the eyes of the law he was not guilty of that particular crime so it should not appear on his record.

However, I somehow doubt that there'll be a not guilty verdict for this one. If he's actually been found guilty of anything before we'll only know after the verdict, unless the 'defence' decide to bring it out.

I really thought they might come out with a story that had me thinking "Oh maybe he is not guilty" but as said earlier 2 freak accidents within seconds of each other...............Give us some credit.

As for the girlfriend I actually feel quite sorry for her. She's been put in a pretty invidious position by him.

i cant quite work her out, surely, if huntley did kill the girls (and i do believe he did) then why did she lie for him?? she was quoted as saying that she was "close to the girls" . If she was so close to them, then why is she covering for him??
