Why are Leeds not in the Premiership?

As Shankly once said: league tables dont lie.

And not necessarily bigger clubs ahead of them but definitely better clubs like Wigan

After our FA Cup victory over Leeds United in 2002, Sam Hammam said: "We want to be playing clubs like Leeds every week."

That's one promise he managed to deliver.

Illuminati conspiracy keeping them out of their rightful place. Probably.

Lets face it the reason that Leeds are not in the premership is that they took a gamble. They wanted more then they had, and instead of working for it and building up to it, they bet the life of their club on making it in to europe.

Though I feel for most of their fans, some of them need to wake up and read the name at the top of the league. It says CHAMPIONSHIP and that is the Coca-cola Championship not the European.

Because they are just not good enough.

Rather stay in this division and that's the Gods honest truth, proper football grounds rather than fake McStadiums, real football fans rather than plastic coke and pop day trippers and any team can beat the other unlike the Premiership.

Very true. Not that I would say no to being in the premership, but at least the majority of the fans in this division are a) real fans and b) a good laugh.

Had a good time with some ofthe coventry fans in the Brewery Tap on saturday. A few drinks a chat about football in general and a joint Micky Adams love feast.

What football should be like.

Completely agree with you. I have had more fun following Leeds in this league the past season and a bit than I did in the Premiership.

Problem is the championship will soon sell out all its matches because as you say its exciting, anybody can beat anybody on their day, as the premiership sinks in its own greed as people realise £45.00 for a ticket is a rip off (along with Palarse and their £30 ticket)
