This thread was inspired by whoever posted earlier today that you can't be a real Brighton fan if you weren't born in Brighton.

A yawn may not be polite, but at least it is an honest opinion”[/QUOTE]

In the age of social mobility, the above would be a crass opinion.

Me?.......Charlton Athletic.

Born in the front bedroom of my dad's council house in Selsdon, the posh part of Croydon for those that don't know ... well that's if you compare it to the thiefdom up the road called New Addington.

Fortunately football has never caught on in Croydon and they don't have a team worth mentioning.
Lucky escape for me when Dad moved to Brighton when I was 3!

Born in Eastbourne so....

League - Brighton and Hove Albion
Non-League - Eastbourne Borough

I obviously only support one of those teams, my non-league team is Whitehawk !!

Born in Woolwich - so i suppose The Arsenal. However, they had moved North by then so nearest club would be Charlton :(

....Arsenal had f*cked off from SE London in 1913 - a 'little while' before your birth, methinks? - unfashionable CAFC it is mate!
