After speaking to Forster at the sponsers dinner I think he should keep the job. He loves this club and the fans and that is a good starting point for any captain.

I think we need someone who is basically going to play every game. Elphick, Virgo, even Whing will probably be permanent fixtures.
I can see Forster missing a lot more games due to injury. He isn't getting any younger.

I would guess he means not having a striker as captain rather than Forster the man or player

Forster, with Virgo as vice captain. That's what I would do, they're the most experienced players we have and they both seem to like the added responsibility.

No reason why the captain has to play every game. Rogers and Oatway were both captain towards the end of their playing carers with us and didn't always play.
