I'm finally getting around to offering up my next DVD to raise funds for A&K. I've got a website setup to process orders and payment - I've got the DVD authored and menued - now all I need to do is get some stock.

The DVD will cost between £8.50 and £9.00 of which £5 will go to Alive and Kicking. I will fix the actual amount when I work out Paypal charges - the breakdown will be A&K £5 - Me for Overheads £3 (Disks, Postage, Packing, Electric etc) + whatever cut Paypal will take - between 50p and £1 from memory.

This DVD contains footage converted from various video tapes. It's not professionally authored like JMC's DVD - it's just the clips one after the other as they are - with a menu to select. The disk will be a DVD-R and will be sent in a protective PVC Sleeve. I'm not producing cases this time as it was a major task and cause of delay on the boxset - besides which it is only 1 DVD this time and it is easy enough to buy your own blank DVD case if you want one.

From memory, here are some of the highlights of the DVD

Extended highlights from the following games :-

Brighton 2 Liverpool 3 1991 FA Cup
Brighton 2 Leeds 2 - circa 1989
Aldershot 2 Brighton 6
Millwall 1 Brighton 2 - 1991 Playoff Semi
Leicester 0 Brighton 2 - Stuart Munday's screamer and Case sent off for being deaf.

Goals from :-

Liverpool 2 Brighton 2 1991 FA Cup
Brighton 4 Newcastle 2 1991
Several games against Swindon and Bristol Rovers from the late 80's/early 90's

And

A couple of features - one from Saint & Greavsie - one before the 1992/93 FA Cup game at Old Trafford with Jimmy Melia
A 2 minute feature on the 1987 promotion winning game against Bristol Rovers with the goals and celebrations
A very brief glimpse of Garry Nelson's overhead kick against Arsenal from the 1987 FA Cup Game

And, as an extra bonus, 20 odd minutes of Hiney does Port Vale! This is a home video taken at the Championship celebrations at Port Vale and includes a pre match singalong in the pub with Krispies, footage outside the ground, build up and action from inside the ground and Hiney screaming like a girl when Watto bends in his free kick - as well as post game celebrations

There's a couple of other bits and pieces as well - it's just over 1 and a half hours from memory.

Rather than take orders and produce the disks, I want to get a rough idea of interest, produce sufficient stock and then offer them for sale.

I will also offer the 4 disk FA Cup boxset for those that missed it first time round. I'm sure the 100 odd people who bought it last time will vouch for it's quality. It contains full Grandstand coverage of the 1983 final with over 3 hours of build up as well as the full game, an hour long programme with highlights of the 1983 Semi Final against Sheff Wed and full coverage of the 1984 FA Cup win over Liverpool at the Goldstone.

The FA Cup set will be £15 with £10 going to A&K. There will be no case this time - just the four disks.

For both of these offers, I will take requests to burn onto printable DVD's if you want to print your own labels but this will be limited if I run out of disks. If not specified, I will use the same TuffDiscs that proved such a success last time around and which are 10 times more scratch resistant than normal disks.

In future months, I hope to offer a large number of old videos on DVD. The club are investigating copyright issues to see if I can offer the large number of videos I have of full games and highlights from the early 90's. Whilst they are doing that, I may well offer some of the away games I have if the interest is there. I have the full game of the 2-2 draw at Liverpool from the 1990/91 FA Cup as well as other wins from that season including Blackburn, Ipswich, Watford, Port Vale and Ipswich.

The main concern I have is that I have absolutely no idea of potential interest. The FA Cup boxset was a huge set with well over £1000 raised for the club but I don't know how popular other material will be. That's why I'm starting this thread. I'm making the poll multiple choice so please select any or all of the DVD's you would be likely to buy. All future single DVD's will be the same as the compilation - just under £9 with £5 going to A&K. If you would buy at least one of the other £9 DVD's, please select the option - I'm not asking you to buy everyone I do. I just want to know if it will be worth my while offering them.

I will give access to the website when I have stuff to sell. I will initially only accept Paypal as cheques make it a nightmare trying to seperate my personal money from A&K money whereas Paypal will keep it all in one account. I may offer a cheque option at a later date depending on interest but want to keep it simple to start with.

Please note that I am only asking whether you would buy - you are not committing to an order, I just need to know roughly how many to produce. I will produce as many as are required but want to maintain stock rather than taking money without having a disk ready to sell.

Phew - my fingers hurt now - I've never typed so much!

I'd go for the compilation, plus the FA Cup one as I missed it last time round.

Compilation please.

I can also recommend these DVD's for hiding porn ala Trainspotting. My missus is never likely to open the FA Cup compilation and stumble across my Back Door Betty DVD. ;)
