That's "Bring your wives to work day" at Selhurst.

The England squad were using the Goldstone for training before an international and that's when this photo was taken.

Can't remember what year but I read it in Billy Wright's autobiography which features this photo.

To add to the previous Billy Wright info. He later married one of the Beverley Sisters. A contemporary of mine from Brighton, married one of the others, so this was not the last time he visited, and maybe he brought his own cat.
