Digweeds Trousers said:I tell you now that Paul McCarthy has score for us. Remember the Bournemouth game at home under Brafy. #-1 down and Rust had been lobbed again for about the third successive game. Chappers thumps in a 30 yarder to make it 3-2 and then that almighty scramble in the sixyard box, their keeper had just gone off injures and then the ball pops up to super Macca and he nods it in, in front of the North Stand and the whole place erupts and goes f***ing bananas.
Possibly one of the best Saturday afternoon atmospheres at the Old Lady Goldstone in the last ten years of football there.
Great day, and I pulled a stunner in Swifts that night.

Coming back from Boundray Park with Radio two as it was then 'it was a game of shirts Bolton in plain white Brighton in plain crazy'- Stuart Hall I think.Dancin Ninja BHA said:Blimey, that's taken me back!!
At that time we were in a higher division than Bolton and thought winning there wouldn't be a problem......! However, we were rubbish that day, and McCarthy did give away a ridiculous penalty
My memories of that day are the murky, misty conditions the game was played in, the fact you couldn't see one of the corner flags because a sodding great supermarket was attached to the back of the away stand (I kid you not!!) and Albion fans kicking off with one another when we were losing!!!
Not one of the better journeys home after watching Brighton away, not sure if Bolton has changed much over the last 10 years (hope so) as what I can remember, the town was depressingly crap and run down
