Russ was chatting to a bloke on the train journey back from MK to Birmingham who is a scout for a League 1 club who was there to watch one of our best players and who is also going to Hereford to get a second evaluation on him.

On yesterday showing has got to be Whing, Kuipers or Virgo and if pushed would suggest that it is Whing froma Midlands based club. Hasnt he said he wants to go back to Brum? Walsall,Northampton even MK Dons?

Owusu is past it. I would keep El-Abd because he is versatile, albeit I would put him on the bench. Mayo, time to go end of. Hart? I still think he could do a job in Div 4, again from the bench. Loft, Davies, Hawkins, Jarett, Heath, Borrowdale, Hinshelwood, Dicker all not worth keeping whether they are loans or short contracts.

Start with Michel at the back, Elphick in defence with an experienced centre half, Whing as Captain, Forster & Murray up front and build a team from there. I would trust Slade to do that as I don't think we would get anyone better. But, let him get his own coaches, not the 3rd rate twats we have now.

At a guess I would suggest that it was Whing and it was from a club and manager with ambition like Huddersfield.
I'll give you a clue , the club loaned us a striker which we then signed at the beginning of the following season for £100k along with a goalkeeper who we signed on a free.

if we go down we need bring in some new faces that have the experience in league 1 or 2 and better then we got at the mo we need to get a good central midfielder and some 2 good wide players that can take players on and get the crosses over for the forwards to score and get a experience goal keeper and good centre back wiv experience

Hart would be a useful utility player to have. He can play up front or wide right, and maybe he could cover for right back if needed. We need to cut our losses on Dixon. Loft would be worth keeping. He did enough against Man City to show he has something to offer at this level.

Davies when he finally gets some confidence in front of goal could be a good player. I think the key to next season is keeping hold of Murray and Forster.

Oh I can answer that. It's because El Abd is from Brighton and we're not allowed to boo the players that are from Brighton. Even if they've got as much football talent as a drunk goat with herpes. Even if they wander round the pitch thinking they're Pele when in fact they're just dustmen who got lucky we can't criticise. Because they're from Brighton they automatically CARE (yeah right). But we can slag off guys like Davies who actually bother to turn up and put in a shift. Albion fans = retards.

mmmm I seem to remember you had a campaign to slag off/get rid of Dean Hammond. That was incredibly clever wasn't it?

Yes, El Abd isn't up to it as shown by him losing Puncheon for the second goal. But the other side of the coin is you and your rants against local players.
