It might be a girly film but The Notebook was a fantastic film, he was excellent in that.

Let's forget the Hoffman wars. Dustin obviously had his moments in the 70s and 80s, but nowadays even in utter dogshit Philip Seymour pretty much owns it and polishes it. Endlessly excellent, the Hoff.
