How the f*** can Chelsea truly be considered a bigger club than Spurs? OK they've got a rich chairman and won a few pots in the past 5 years but before then they were true also rans. As recently as 1991, they had the odd PREMIERSHIP gate of 7,500! Their last promotion season was watched by an average gate of about 11,000 including several in the 7-8k range. Their average gate only went above 20k once Ruud Gullit arrived in the mid 90s FFS!

The *lowest* league attendance Spurs have had in my living memory was a single gate of just over 13,000 in 1984 or 1985 during the dark days of hooliganism. Arsenal's lowest league gate in that time was just over 17,000. Both have averaged well over 20k for unbrokens seasons for decades. Chelsea are noddy compared to these two giants. It's what makes Spurs medicrity even funnier.

If Roman walked out on Chelsea, I suspect we'd be seeing crowds of 20,000 or less within 5 years. If it wasn't for the billionaire, I suspect West Ham would be #3 in London.
Yes , I suspect that when football becomes unfashionable again , you'll go back to hockey or whatever it was you did before you started pretending to like football.

you havent won the title for 48 years  , all the arsenal i know dont really look at you as rivals anymore , the real london rivalry is arsenal chelsea, and then the second tier one between west ham and spurs , tell me what makes you a big club ? if its silverware won in the past then that would have made the likes of blackpool , preston and huddersfield big clubs in the eighties and nineties, were they ? i think you know the answer, your like a faded film star who cant accept that her glory days are long gone :lolol:

Well, apart from crowds and a fan base that are historically well above Chelski's there is the little matter of...

Football League Champions 1950-51, 1960-61
F.A.Cup Winners 1900-01, 1920-21, 1960-61, 1961-62, 1966-67, 1980-81, 1981-82, 1990-91
Football League Cup Winners 1970-71, 1972-73, 1998-99, 2007-08
European Cup-Winners Cup Winners 1962-63
UEFA Cup Winners 1971-72, 1983-84
Football League Division Two Champions 1919-20, 1949-50
Southern League Champions 1899-1900.
Western League Champions 1903-04.
London League Premier Division Champions 1902-03.
Football League South 'C' Division Champions 1939-40.
F.A.Charity Shield Winners 1920-21, 1951-52, 1961-62, 1962-63, 1967-68 (joint), 1981-82 (joint), 1991-92 (joint).
Dewar Shield Winners 1901-02, 1933-34, 1934-35.
Anglo-Italian League Cup-Winners Cup Winners 1971-72.

and that's excluding various charity cups.

Spurs have less money (probably) than Fulham Reserves but the heritage and fan base is much bigger.
