I listen to techno, so by default I would have to say Cox

It isn't rediculous, it is completely valid. Of cource if you listen to tecno you will prefer Cox, he's the best. I wouldn't say something completely stupid and compare Frankie Knuckles with Armand van Helden but Carl Cox and Norman Cook is perfectly valid.

Carl Cox is certainly a better DJ, though actually better when hes not on 3 decks, Norms a better producer but being as they play different music it is a funny comparison

What a ridiculous question. Cox is a superb DJ whos been killing it since the dawn of the Acid House scene. Norman Cook is an awful DJ who plays the same old commercial tunes year after year badly to an unclued up crowd. If it wasnt for Cooks production success in the 90's he wouldnt get DJ gigs at all.
