I think the whole world should be able to vote in the US election because whoever gets voted in will have a huge effect on the whole world. Your average American voter will have no concept of the wider effect of their decision.

The trouble with the American election is that it is Americans who are doing the voting.

But you could argue, and some do, that the imposition of the Versaille agreement directly led to the rise of Hitler and facism in Europe. The agreement was essentially imposed by the US (AIUI), for good reasons admitedly, and so you could (if you wanted to) argue that without the Us and the versaille agreement Hitler would never have gained power.

Kerry is just a chancer with all froth and no substance. Can anyone really say the would want him if they did not hate Bush so much.

Bush had the misfortune of being in power during the most difficult time for the USA ever and he was on a hiding to nothing from 9/11 onwards.

Kerry. A man who fought for his country, and did not hide. Commentators say he is not the most inspirational of men, but he looked okay to me in the debate highlights.

You can judge Bush by the company he keeps. His presidency will be seen a low in future years.
