Who do you think would be best to replace Brown as Labour Leader?

If the electorate who care enough to vote want a change for no particular reason other than they want a change, then so be it. They'll get the government they deserve. Tho if you vote Tory, best make sure you're never poor and sick at the same time. Or healthy and on the minimum wage. Cos you won't be able to take that for granted anymore. Oh, and don't expect the trains or the roads to get any better. Cos you'll have some piss-poor thing like thruppence in the pound in the way of tax bribes, in exchange for the safety net that you or your family or your friends take utterly for granted. And you'll have to pay your crappy little tax benefit over to the energy companies, same as you would under Labour.

And the best of luck

Its a real shame john smith passed away because he was really onto something but then of course b.liar got there and the rest is history.

As for GB he does appear a man of integrity like smith. Unfortunately he is surrounded by a bunch of complete and utter twats. The labour party like the tories in the late 80s early 90s is degenerate and rotten to the core.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Like a previous poster said (cadiz?) its people voting AGAINST who is in charge rather that FOR the opposition.

Most of the political commentators seem to believe that the next Labour leader will be a lame duck candidate. It would be unprecedented for Britain to have 2 unelected PMs in a row and would almost certainly force a general election on us. Given the current woes and lack of confidence in the Government the Tories are likely to win and no serious Labour leader candidate wants to lead the party through that.

I'll guess Jack Straw if Brown goes soon, Milliband or Balls if he goes in 2 years time.

I think it's a choice between David Milliband, Ed Milliband, or the Steve Miller Band.

I'd go for Steve.

:lolol:

Brown should have a set-up like they do in the US, with a gaggle of staff picking apart the opposition and writing responses for him. So far he's really dropped the ball in that department, and said nothing to swat Cameron or ridicule some of his ridiculous assertions and statements.
It's all fair in love, war, and politics.
