It does make it tricky when they're playing each other...

So if you HAD to chose, what would be your criteria?

Outside of the Albion and Sussex CCC;

Baseball: NY Mets
Basketball: Bears here, obviously, but LA Lakers in the States
NFL: Buffalo Bills
NHL: Buffalo Sabres
Aussie Rules: St. Kilda
Rugby League: Halifax
F1: Minardi, always. Should have kept the name alive; 'Team Torro Rosso' can go f*** themselves.
Rugby Union: Don't really follow a club side. Watch England, basically.

If you're into all sports you've basically got something to watch all year round. Outside of the Albion though, it's only really the Bills that get me worked up enough to be pissed off when they lose, which this year was often.

Good man, considering the Bills were so great at the tail-end of NFL's hayday in this country its odd how few people support them. Thats made my day.

Would generally get behind whichever one has the best chance of winning any particular competition that season...

Usually neither of them in other words. :jester:

Scott Norwood remains responsible for my worst sporting moment outside football, AT. Four consecutive 'bowls, four defeats - agonising wasn't it? The deadly no-huddle offense of the early 90's seems like a dream now, as if it never really happened.

American Basketball : Charlotte Hornets (are they still around?)
They moved to New Orleans and became the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets but in 2004 a new team was formed in the NBA called the Charlotte Bobcats.

NFL: Denver Broncos

I've been to see the Broncos play a couple of times although never in Denver as tickets are a nightmare to get hold of.

saaf of the water
Albion and Sussex.

NFL : Green Bay Packers. Crap season this year by the way!

Baseball : Boston RedSox (althoug son is Yankees fan which if you know anything about Baseball is like father supporting Albion and son supporting Palarse.)

Basketball: Not really interested, although I have seen the Brighton Bears a few times. Son supports Bulls and Lakers.

Rugby (Union): Used to be Moseley (Birmingham way) when I was very young - till they sold their ground to a property developer - now where have I heard that one before. Think they still exist in about Division 53 of the West Midlands League.

Rugby League: I think it's crap - son supports London Broncos which I think is now Harlequins.

Ice Hockey : Pittsburgh.

No one on this list like the Packers in American Football(*)?

I first liked them because of the name, and because they are from a wee small town compared to the likes of LA, NY etc. Underdogs and all that sort of thing.

Then I discovered they are the only club in the NFL who are not owned by a franchise; but they are effectively (I think) publicly owned. This means that Hiram J Pipesucker III (or whoever) can't one day say "bugger - this; I am going to move the club to Dead Squaw, Idaho".

Credibility complete! Oh; and I like the big "G" on the side of their safety helmets.

(*) Whoops so they do! Mellor 3 Ward 4 just beat me to it.
