I'd probably walk the beat with Officer Dibble of Top Cat fame.

He never did any work, except to talk to a few cats. Sounds like a bit of a doss...

I always chuckled at the way that all the male characters in such cartoons were powerful and mighty, able to destroy entire evil empires with a simple holding-aloft-of-their-magic-sword, or a bone-crushing karate move.

While the females....er....charmed the animals, or some equally weedy power.

Dungeons and Dragons is a key example, though She-Ra (Princess of Power) had a similar theme.
