That was poor wording on my part. I meant in terms of general ability at this level, rather than specific qualities, that he's the closest we've had to Carpenter's standard. Do not mean the same type of player.

The only team so far that has looked a different class to us are Leeds. They outplayed us all over the park.
The other losses have come due to our inept performances rather than simply not being good enough.
