The Clash, Killing Joke, The Ruts - finest 3 white reggae bands ever IMHO......

Nowadays we have the wonderful Sunshine Brothers here in Perth and of course there's Salmonella Dub from NZ....

No, and the other coloured version (am I allowed to say it) isn't much cop either imho. UB40 for goodness sake, how many of them in that band to make such a dire whiney plodding sound?

I give UB40 quite a bit of credit for bringing more white English youth to the reggae world...not my cup of tea, but I give them credit..their version of kingston town was pretty decent actually when compared to lord creators original.

Anyway, if reggae isnt your bag, thats fair enough. Would be a pretty boring world if we all liked the same music.
For me reggae is not one type of reggae..theres several types of reggae...
Artists like wasp, bugle, vybz kartel, aidonia, sean paul dont do it for me..
but they do for many..lots of people like dub..lots of people like lovers rock....lots of people like roots..I prefer studio one/rocksteady...just what youre comfortable with isnt it...
Most music that isnt reggae makes me think my ears are bleeding to be honest..just personal taste innit.
