For the first time I really wouldn't know who to choose. TBF there are no elections this time around here, if there was, the Conservatives are a shoe-in but I would like to contribute to them having a smaller majority. Trouble is, they are all utter wastes of oxygen, so I would probably vote for the Llama (Alpaca?) in the field opposite my house.

No council elections out our way this year.

Adur, Crawley, Hastings and Worthing are the only Sussex local authorities with district/borough-wide elections in 2012.

Adur, Crawley and Worthing are currently Conservative controlled. Hastings has a Labour council.

Even the lamas can't be trusted these days. Apparently.

This is the first time I think I have not voted. Have voted at every election since I was 18.

4 choices I had were, Labour, Tory, Lib Dems, UKIP.

Would not vote UKIP.
Would have thought about Lib Dems if they weren't a bunch of liars (and still have a problem with their trying to block Falmer).
So Tory or Labour.
Have always voted either Labour or Lib Dem (tactically). Won't vote Lib Dem as they're a bunch of Liars. So that leaves Labour - which in my opinion has as much chance of winning (in Adur) + national as I have of winning the euro millions jackpot. Good old AV got the wrong Milliband in as leader.

Just really couldn't be bothered to fill in the paperwork. Sad as I've always been pro-voting. (I'm a postal vote if you're wondering how I made up my decision in advance)

when I told a Lib Dem canvasser that I would be voting Labour he said "You know they don't stand a chance around here, don't you?" so I replied "Yes and I've been supporting the Albion for 40 years & they don't stand a chance of
winning the Champions League but that won't stop me". That stumped him.

I wish I could vote for the seagulls party!

Me too. I just wish there was something different on the list. It's a bit like going for a meal at a restruant, then thinking stuff that I'm not hungry when you see the menu. Have always been a Labour supporter, but just think Ed is the wrong man and I can't be bothered voting in a seat that won't make the slightest difference, just because I'm registering my vote, etc

None of them bother coming round where I live apart from Tory. It is so Tory, that the houses might as well be painted Blue.
I would love a Lib Dem to come round - so I can give them some stick (in a nice way), but alas they don't.

Am personally pro-Europe. But also understand the anti-Euro sentiment, but don't personally feel that way.

Wouldn't say I'm so pro-europe I'd vote for a party like UKinEuro Party, but wouldn't vote for a party that's totally against Euro either.

Fair enough - good reason. I was expecting the tired old argument of UKIP = BNP, BNP = UKIP !

In my ward its a 3 way fight between Labour , LibDem and UKIP as the Conservatives haven't fielded a candidate. The present incumbent councillor is Labour but the LibDems came within 16 votes of winning last time , looks like it might come down to how many votes UKIP muster as a Conservative alternative choice.

Is UKIP politically roughly halfway between Conservatives and BNP now that the Tories have moved to the middle ?
