Virgs only "became" a midfielder when Celtic (for some reason) paid well over the odds for him when his stock was highest, playing up front under McGhee because Molango physically wasn't up to Championship defenders.

Then Strachan realised he wasn't any better than his centre-backs OR his centre-forwards and played him about four times in cup competitions as a 'holding' midfield player.

He's a centre back, a good one, and a terrible midfield player.

Virgo was moved to right back and was terrible, literally terrible.
His distribution couldn't have been worse, every hoof landing in the keepers arms. He made an horrific error where his team mates somehow bailed him out..

I am only talking about when he went right back against Hereford. I'm not the only one thinking this am i?
